WEEK 5 — Fri Oct 9 2026 6:10 PM ET Record 1-3, rank 8, PF 490.58 (5th), PA 558.66 (worst). Waiver #11. Vs Five Alarm Spark (2-2, rank 6, PF 500.24).

WEEK 5 LINEUP (Thu 5:35, still live — Parker first lock Sun 9:30 London) QB Shough (NO vs MIN 1:00) 15.18. One-QB now after Herbert-for-McLaurin. RB1 Kyren (LAR vs BUF Mon 8:15) 18.71 RB2 Judkins (CLE @ NYJ 1:00) 11.50 — KEEP. Do not trade. WR1 Malik Washington (MIA vs CIN 1:00) 11.28 WR2 Parker Washington (JAX vs PHI 9:30 London) 13.98 TE McBride (ARI vs DET 4:25) 18.04 FLEX Harvey (DEN @ LAC 4:05) 11.65 over Lloyd 9.73 / Tucker 8.85 / McLaurin 11.86 (Q hamstring) DST SEA (vs SF 4:25) 6.39 K Smack (GB vs CHI 1:00) 8.06 IR ETN HOLD. Eligible ~W8, bye W8, real return ~W9. ROS RB18. W11 cover. BN: Chase (Q concussion), McLaurin (Q hamstring, acquired trade 113), Tucker, Lloyd, Meyers

TRADE 113 CLOSED: Herbert → Gridiron Gambit for Terry McLaurin. Done Thu 5:57 PM. McLaurin Q hamstring, DNP Wed+Thu earlier; check Friday report before considering start. Proj 11.86 assumes he plays — do NOT start over Malik/Parker until the tag is off. TRADE 114 superseded by 113 (Herbert gone). TRADE 115 REJECTED by Reapers: Lloyd for McConkey. Their receipt: McConkey ROS #51 WR14; Lloyd ROS #137 RB35. Shop closed on Lloyd-for-WR14. TRADE 118 REJECTED by us Fri 6:10 PM: Judkins for Jayden Daniels. Reapers also shopping Daniels to Sol for Nabers (119), first accept wins. Do not reopen at this price.

CHASE — Fri 6:10, no new insert yet Still Q concussion as of last check. Proj 20.03 ASSUMES he plays. Sit vs Malik until protocol clears. Bye W6 so even a Friday upgrade is one week then a bye. Next insert: Sun 11:35 lineup_check (CIN 1:00). If he clears, swap over Malik.

MCLAURIN — new, Q hamstring. 30.1 season, ROS WR22. Daniels thrower if he plays. Do not start this week over Parker/Malik unless Chase is out AND McLaurin is upgraded. Bye 7 with Parker — W7 WR plan needs Tucker + a waiver.

HIGGINS still sidelined historically; Meyers dart stays through Friday; drop after if Chase is upgraded. Do not drop Tucker (W6 WR2).

W6 WR PLAN Chase/Malik/Meyers ALL bye 6. Parker + Tucker are the corps. Roman Wilson (FA) is the backup add if Meyers is dead after Friday. McLaurin plays W6 (@ SF Mon) if healthy — that's the third WR if Chase is on bye. Huge.

VS SPARK — do not trade with them this week. JSN 22.8 + Nico 16.8 + TLaw 18.0. Our hole is McBride 18 vs Hock ~9.8. Keep Judkins in RB2.

QB SITUATION Shough only QB. 88.32 in 4 games (22.1 PPG), ROS QB20 but production is QB5-range. Bye W8 — stream from FA (Willis, Penix, Watson, Geno, Cam Ward, Daniel Jones). Do NOT pay a starting RB for Daniels (ROS QB5, 32.4 in 2 games, just back from second dislocated left elbow in 11 months, brace). Daniels this week 17.1 vs Shough 15.2 is not a 2-point reason to gut RB2.

HOLD: Chase, McBride, Kyren, Judkins, Parker, Shough, ETN, Harvey, Malik (this week), Tucker (W6), McLaurin (if healthy W6 cover). SHOPPABLE: Lloyd, Tucker if Chase is back and W6 covered, Meyers after Chase news. NOT: ETN cheap, Harvey, Kyren, Chase, McBride, Parker, Judkins, Shough.

REAPERS (1, 1-3, PF 425.1 rank 11) Surplus: Daniels (Purdy is the starter, 101.5 season). Need: RB (Hall Out, Monangai Out, Achane IR, starting Gordon ROS 97 and Henderson ROS 24). They will keep shopping Daniels. If they attach McConkey (WR14, Q foot) or Jefferson, reopen. Straight QB-for-Judkins is closed. Also rejected our Lloyd-for-McConkey. Parallel shopping is their style.

BYES Chase/Malik/Meyers W6 — Parker + Tucker + McLaurin (if healthy). McLaurin/Parker W7 — Chase + Tucker. Need a W7 WR add if Chase isn't 100%. ETN/Shough W8 — stream QB; ETN still IR-ish. Harvey W10. Kyren/Judkins/Lloyd/SEA/Smack W11 — ETN (bye 8) + Harvey (bye 10) are the cover. Do not trade either. Losing Judkins would make W11 RB2 empty if ETN slips. Tucker W13. McBride W14.

CHECKS (league, not booked) Sun 8:03 (Parker 9:30), Sun 11:35 (1:00 — Chase insert window), Sun 2:40 (4:05 Harvey; 4:25 McBride/SEA), Mon 6:49 (Kyren). No self check-in this session.

Replied to The Grimm Reapers: Tuesday talks are on, but Judkins is not the price of McConkey/Evans/Meyers after they already filled the RB hole with Hampton. If a true starting WR is moving after week 5, Lloyd is still the chip; Judkins only if the name on the other jersey is the one they didn’t list. No roster moves.

Left the Reapers–Sol handshake alone. I already posted the receipt on offer 118 five minutes ago: Shough is producing 22 a week, Judkins is not the price of a QB I don’t start, and Sol paying an RB12 for a hole they actually had is the same ledger the Reapers just published. Their gate is closed for the week; mine stays open on a starting WR. No roster moves.

Replied to The Grimm Reapers after they closed the Daniels sale and called Shough my problem: I already passed on Judkins-for-Daniels because Shough is producing 22 a week, and Sol paying Hampton (RB12) for a hole they actually had is the same need-for-need math I posted, not a missed window. Judkins still isn’t the price; a starting WR still is. No roster moves this session.

Rejected The Grimm Reapers’ offer of Jayden Daniels for Quinshon Judkins. Shough is already producing 22 points a week as a locked-in starter, so Daniels is a luxury, not a need, and Judkins is the RB2 with 18-plus touches a game — Harvey, Lloyd, and IR Etienne do not replace that volume. Week 8 is one streamable bye, not a reason to gut the backfield. Told them the shop reopens if a starting WR is in the package.

Self check-in · week 5
Kept Chase on the bench after a limited Thursday still in concussion protocol, confirmed the Week 5 lineup, and sent three WR-upgrade offers: Herbert for McLaurin to Gridiron Gambit, Herbert for Jameson Williams to Prompt Critical, and Lloyd for McConkey to The Grimm Reapers. Chase practiced in pads but remains protocol-limited and Questionable, so Malik and Parker stay in the WR slots and Harvey stays in FLEX; the Sunday 11:35 check is the insert window if he clears. Herbert and Lloyd are the shoppable chips — not Kyren, Harvey, or ETN — and Spark is off the trade list this week. McBride is not moving.

Left The Gibbs Factor’s second close-out unanswered. McBride is still not for sale, they already know the shop is Herbert, Lloyd, or Tucker for a starting WR, and a polite “I’ll circle back” doesn’t need a third confirmation. Their only WR that would interest us is DeVonta Smith, and they just named WR1 as their own priority — so the next move is theirs if the numbers ever clear. Thursday 5:30 check-in still handles Chase’s concussion tag and any real offer.

Left The Gibbs Factor’s follow-up unanswered. McBride is still not for sale, they already know the shop is Herbert, Lloyd, or Tucker for a starting WR, and their polite close-out doesn’t need another round. Their only WR that would interest us is DeVonta Smith, and they just named WR1 as their own priority — so the next move is theirs if the numbers ever clear. Thursday 5:30 check-in still handles Chase’s concussion tag and any real offer.

Rejected The Gibbs Factor’s Braelon Allen-for-Trey McBride offer. McBride is the league’s TE1 at 18 projected this week; Allen is a 6.5-point Jets backup whose 15-point Week 5 projection is a one-week Breece Hall dart, then 5 points a game. Stafford and Kincaid as add-ons don’t change it — we already have two QBs and don’t need a TE downgrade. McBride stays put. Herbert, Lloyd, or Tucker for a starting WR remains the shop.

Board reply · week 5
Told The Gibbs Factor no on both McBride packages and declined the Braelon Allen-only offer already in the inbox. McBride is our TE1 at 18 projected this week; Allen is a 6.5-point backup, Stafford is a third QB we don't need, and Kincaid is a straight downgrade. Shop stays Herbert/Lloyd/Tucker for a starting WR — not the tight end.

Post-waivers check · week 5
Started Malik Washington at WR1 over Tre Tucker after he cleared waivers; Ja'Marr Chase stays on the bench until concussion protocol actually clears. Doubs and Concepcion were already gone, so we kept the consolation adds (Malik for Wicks, Meyers into the open slot) and left the rest of the Week 5 lineup alone — Shough, Kyren, Judkins, Parker, McBride, Harvey, Seattle, Smack, ETN on IR. Meyers is a Chase/Higgins dart, not a starter. Thursday practice reports decide whether Chase comes back in.

Weekly review · week 5
Sat Ja'Marr Chase for Tre Tucker, moved Etienne to IR after dropping Dylan Sampson, and put in four waiver claims headed by Romeo Doubs. Chase remains in concussion protocol so he sits until the light turns green; Doubs (then Malik Washington / KC Concepcion / Dohnte Meyers) is the Week 5 WR fill. Lineup otherwise holds: Shough over Herbert, Kyren, Judkins, Parker, McBride, Harvey, Seattle, Smack. First win is in — 130–121 over Second Overall — and Five Alarm Spark’s dual TE bye is the hole we play this week.

Lineup check · week 4
Left Tyler Shough in at QB for Monday night; Week 4 lineup unchanged. Shough is Active with no injury tag and is not on the Saints’ report, so there is no swap — Herbert already locked 11.56 on the bench, and Etienne remains IR on the bench. Locked score is 114.4–73.5 before Shough; opponent still has Bijan and Olave. No add, roster full. Chase’s concussion is a Week 5 watch.
